Next field training dates are from July 30th To August 3rd, 2012.
Developed by Carson Dunlop to complement our home inspection education
programs, this one-week training session will help prepare you for success in
home inspection. Available to both students and graduates, it includes five
eight-hour sessions, offered Monday through Friday. One, two and three day
sessions are also available.
Each day you will inspect a different house with an experienced inspector
acting as your instructor. With the instructor’s guidance, you will do the
inspection yourself and write your own report. Then the instructor will present
his report, and you will be able to compare it with yours. You can ask questions
and discuss specific report items.
This low-stress process is designed entirely for your benefit. You don’t have
to present to the group or submit your reports, and there is no test to pass.
About the FIELD TRAINING
Instructor You’ll work with Tom Woolley, an experienced home inspector and
trainer of home inspectors. He’s been in the field since 1991, and he’s worked
with Carson Dunlop for several years. Both a Registered Home Inspector in
Ontario (RHI) and a National Certificate Holder in Canada, Tom has seen and
heard it all.
How Field Training Helps
By facing real-world situations, you’ll increase your confidence and
competence while reducing your liability. What’s more, you’ll learn to avoid the
mistakes most new home inspectors make and learn some tricks of the trade that
only seasoned veterans know. You’ll be preparing yourself for test inspections
and peer reviews – and more importantly, ensuring your success in the world of
home inspection.
